Our College prides itself on being able to design and create logical and common sense pathways of education for all students which effectively lead into post high school careers and tertiary study plans, adopting the biblical values found in Jeremiah 29:11.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Students are presented with a range of aspirational as well as realistic options and applicable courses or programs, giving them direction and purpose in order to make good decisions regarding their professional future.
Our Academic Coordinator Mr Matthew Cooke and our Pathways Coordinator Mr David Nuske can assist in all Career direction assistance and Academic subject pathways in the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and areas such as:
Among much other content, Careers education classes provide assistance with personality testing and job suitability testing, resume and cover letter writing, visits to careers expos, facilitation of work experience, visits by guest speakers, university open days as well as completing university and college applications.
Career interest pathways and tailored academic program-based interviews with parents and students as well as a Senior Education Training Plan (SET) are compulsory at Northpine Christian College for Year 9-12 students. Through this planning, all relevant stakeholders (students, parents and teachers) can create and follow individualised learning packages which will support students working to strengths and developing a clear vision regarding their job or tertiary study prospects.
